Seasonal Guide to Plan Your 30A Vacation

Florida is a beautiful state to visit any time of the year and each season offers its own unique benefits and experiences depending on what you would like to do. With over 300 sunny days a year you have endless things to do or explore on your vacation, so we suggest planning your vacation around what you would like to do!   Please check out our Guide to 30A to help plan your activites.

Spring Season

Many travelers do not know this, but spring is a great time to enjoy 30A for all it has to offer. Our guests use this time to explore the beaches as they are less crowded and much quieter. It makes riding a bike around Seaside, Seacrest, and Rosemary Beach a breeze and visiting all of the local stores and dining a bit easier. We also recommend visiting the Rosemary Beach farmers market or planning your stay around some of the seasonal events like the South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival. Another secret is this is the best time to enjoy live music at the many restaurants!

Summer Season

We love summer on 30A for all it has to offer including all of the sunshine, festive events and sports. The months of June through August is considered the “busy season” around town, so it is a bit more difficult to get around or find parking. Many of our guests use the beach bikes and golf carts to get around as well as of the beach communities transportation service. Fall With the weather still be ideal, fall season is a perfect time to enjoy 30A with quieter beaches and lower season rental rates. The best part is the Gulf is usually warm enough for swimming. You’ll still get plenty of beach time, sunshine, and outdoor activities.

Winter Season

Winter travel to Santa Rosa Beach is a great time to visit if your looking to relax and enjoy quiet time at the beaches. The temperatures are usually between 60 and 70 degrees, so it is a great time for biking, exploring all of the hiking trails and scenic areas of the 30A. With this being considered our low season, this is really the least expensive more relaxing time to vacation on 30A. And the best part there’s still plenty to do.

Visitors come in January for the 30A Songwriter Festival to listen to great music and new songs. The event is at different 30A beach communities and is over three days. In February, enjoy the 30A Wine Festival in Alys Beach and the Sandestin Gumbo Festival over President’s Day weekend. Who knew winter on 30A could be so fun with live music, seafood boil and family fun visiting the many state parks and hiking trails.
