Snorkel & Diving

Visitors and locals love to snorkel and dive the waters of South Walton. Thanks to the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA), there are many awesome new sights to see just off our beautiful beaches, including 4 animal-shaped snorkel reefs located about 200 yards off the beach, with 75100 towers per location.

  • Turtle-shaped Reef - Grayton Beach State Park; Coordinates: N 30 19.33100 W 086 09.48300
  • Seahorse-shaped Reef - Topsail Hill Preserve State Park; Coordinates: N 30 21.38050 W 86 16.66660
  • The snorkel reefs are close to the shore to where snorkelers and divers can be easily access them by kayak or paddle board. They are the perfect destination for scuba divers to explore by charter boat in Walton County. To learn more about SWARA and reef locations, visit www.waltonreefs.org.
